Email support group #1

Email marketing myths: Deliverability, promotions tab & design best practices

During this session, we bust the biggest email marketing myths — image-to-text ratios, the promotions tab, "best" send times — and show real, low-lift ways to refresh a design without a redesign.

Our very first support group

Everyone's got a best practice they swear by. The image-to-text ratio they've been told never to break. The three-column layout that looked great on desktop and terrible on mobile. The number of CTAs someone insisted was the "right" one. This was our first Email Support Group, born out of nearly 200 questions we didn't have time to answer after a design trends webinar — and we pulled back the curtain on which of those "rules" actually hold up.

In this unscripted Q&A, Logan Sandrock Baird, Justine Jordan, and Emily Santos covered:

- Why there's no universal "best" number of CTAs, images, or send time — the real principle is keeping content tightly focused on one action
- Why image-to-text ratio and the promotions tab aren't the deliverability threats they're often made out to be
- How hover effects create the visual friction that draws attention to a CTA, demoed live in Beefree
- Why one-column, mobile-first layouts tend to outperform three-column desktop ones
- How to set up multilingual emails using RGE Studio (previously Beefree)'s Write with AI translation feature

If you've ever wished someone would just tell you which "best practices" are actually myths instead of making you guess, this one's for you.
